Water-Based Zinc Stearate Emulsion
This environmentally friendly, non-toxic, and odorless hydrophilic zinc stearate emulsion is a milky white liquid that serves as a substitute for imported products, widely applied in water-based furniture paints, industrial paints, inks, textiles, cosmetics, thermal paper coatings, and abrasive sandpapers for wear resistance. It features ultra-fine particle size, smooth lubrication, excellent thermal stability, high transparency, effective defoaming, superior dispersibility, good anti-sedimentation, excellent sandability, and yellowing resistance. Physically, it is a milky white dispersion easily dispersible in water with a slippery feel, insoluble in ethanol and ether, and decomposes into stearic acid and zinc salts under strong acids (CAS: 557-05-1). Technical parameters include: product name X-36, solid content 36%±2, particle size ≤20μm, viscosity ≤300 cps, and pH 7-9. In applications, it enhances hydrophobicity, handfeel, and stability in water-based coatings and inks, acts as a polishing agent in textiles, a lubricant in cosmetics, a water-proofing agent in paper industry, and an abrasive aid in sandpapers for improved sandability and water resistance.
